Jieun Lee is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation of Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. She received her PhD in Linguistics from Macquarie University in Sydney, and taught there before joining Ewha Womans University in 2010. Her research interests include legal interpreting, community interpreting, interpreter and translator training, and discourse analysis. Her research work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as <i>Interpreting, Applied Linguistics, Multilingua, Perspectives, Meta, and International Journal of Speech, Language and the Law</i>.
Professor Jiun Huh is a conference interpreter(Eng/Kor), an interpreter trainer, and a researcher in Translation Studies. As a conference interpreter, she has extensive experience in domains, such as, ICT, international relations, economy, securities, game, media & entertainment solutions, medicine, environment, academics, and culture. Choi Moonsun is a conference interpreter (English-Korean). She received her B.A. (1999) in French language and literature from Seoul National University, her M.A. (2002) in English-Korean Translation/Interpretation from Ewha GSTI, and her Ph.D. (2013) in Translation & Interpretation from Ewha GSTI. She has extensive interpreting experience in areas of sustainability, North Korea and unification, ICT, finance, and arts. She has also interpreted on many occasions for international organizations and high-level government meetings. Her most recent assignments include UN Global Compact Korea Leaders’ Summit, the Open Forum of Ewha-Luce International Seminar, UK-Korea Global Sports Seminar, and ASEAN-Korea Technology Cooperation Workshop. Her research interests include interpreter training, curriculum development, assessment, and interpreting strategy.
Hyono Kim is a conference interpreter (English-Korean). She received her B.A.(2004) in English Language and Literature from Sogang University, and M.A.(2006) in English-Korean Interpretation from the Graduate School of Translation & Interpretation at Ewha Womans University . She interpreted at numerous meetings and conferences in information technology, engineering, environment, finance & investment, energy, intellectual property, public administration, gender issues, arts & culture etc. Her most recent assignments include UNESCO World Education Forum, World Water Forum 2015, President Park Geun-hye at Groundbreaking of Gyeongwon Line, International IoT Forum, Citi Hedge Fund Forum, TED x KFAS, Doosan Global CFO Course, Dell Solutions Summit, and International Publishers’ Forum.
Choi. Hyo-eun is a translator (English-Korean/Korean-English). She received her B.A. (2001) in English language and literature from Ewha Womans University, her M.A. (2005) in Korean-English Translation from Ewha GSTI, and her Ph.D. (2016) in Translation from Ewha GSTI. She has extensive translation and interpreting experience as an in-house translator/interpreter at Civil Service Commission, Educational Broadcasting System, Samsung Electronics, and Korea Information Society Development Institute. Her research interests include patent translation, IT translation, translator training, and translation strategy.
Lami Lee is a conference interpreter (English-Korean). She received her B.A. (2004) in French from Boston College, and M.A. (2008) in English-Korean Interpretation from the Graduate School of Translation & Interpretation at Ewha Womans University. She is currently a PhD candidate in Interpretation Studies at Ewha Womans University.
