"For Good to Great EUMC²"

Hello, I'm Eunhee Ha and I'm the dean of the 26th medical school. 
In 2019, Ewha University and Ewha Medical Center are setting the stage for a new leap forward with the relocation of medical school campus and the opening of Seoul Hospital. Ewha Womans University Medical School has continued its excellence by obtaining a six-year certificate in 2020 ASK 2019 by the Korea Institute for Education Evaluation. Ewha Medical Center has also established a two-way hospital system for Mokdong Hospital and Seoul Hospital, and it is growing into one of the best research-oriented hospitals in Korea with its synergy.

There are challenges internally and externally to move from Good enough EUMC to Great EUMC². The Fourth Industrial Revolution has dramatically changed the paradigm of medicine and medical care, including medical data-based artificial intelligence and bio-ICT convergence technologies, and requires active response to new medical environments pursuing convergence brokerage research and personalized medicine. Medical education also calls for fostering the talent needed in this turbulent era.

To this end, I would like to achieve three things.

First, I will make medical school stand as one of the pillars of Ewha Advanced Convergence MediCluster with Sinchon Campus, Mokdong Hospital and Seoul Hospital. In order to promote convergence brokerage research and personalized medicine demanded by the current era, we will find projects to be pursued along with professors' various efforts to revitalize research exchanges.

Second, for the ease of medical education, we will prepare excellent student attraction and customized curriculum for students and foster great convergence future talent. We will provide computer medical connectivity and humanities skills so that excellent students can cope well with the future medical environment of the era of ultra-intelligence and super-connected artificial intelligence.

Third, I will always communicate with members of Ewha University, alumni teachers, and parents about the direction of development of EUMC² and listen to it with great ears for the development of EUMC². Therefore, I will play the role of the main house where the medical school is always wanted to come back and be treated with a warm heart.

We will create the Good to Great (G2G) EUMC², which will be the best learning center for students, the best research center for professors, and the best pride for alumni and parents. Lastly, I thank God for entrusting me with a valuable position at an important time in the development of Ewha University, and I wish God's blessing to always be with us.
