KOREAN CULTURE

The Korean Culture degree program offers an interdisciplinary approach on exploring the Korean society and culture from different perspectives. Through various research and theoretical methodologies, students are able to pursue a diverse path on understanding the Korean socio-psychological structure and its values. The program also aims to cultivate cultural analytical skills in developing and suggesting new perspectives regarding Korean cultural elements such as religion, folkway, history, and the arts.
TEACHING KOREAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

- Korean applied linguistics
- Korean language Pedagogy
The Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL) degree program is a subfield of Applied Linguistics specializing in the acquisition, analysis, pedagogy, and use of Korean as a foreign language. It offers its students both the theoretical and field foundation and trainings needed through various courses, research projects, as well as internships in Korea and abroad to produce competent and knowledgeable educators or teachers of the Korean language as a foreign language. The program aims to cultivate Korean language researchers and teachers who are also interested in broadening the understanding of other people of the Korean culture and society vis-à-vis the Korean language.
