Program: Non-paid internship at the Program Organization & Communication Team

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The goal of our internship program is to provide a high-quality learning experience that helps to form the foundation for a career in the climate change or environmental movement for a diverse group of individuals seeking hands-on work experience in the field.

We offer an unpaid internship that aligns to typical college semesters. Interns will be allowed to work a maximum of 30 hours per week. The internship opportunities are in a variety of programs and departments that will vary from cycle to cycle. Climate Reality Project interns in the Korea Office will be assigned a mentor who will work closely with them to help navigate the organization, create overall objectives, and oversee their work plan.

Successful applicants must be at least 18 years of age and will be asked to prove that they can legally work in South Korea. Students and non-traditional students are encouraged to apply.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Assisting with international activities held by the Climate Reality Project Headquarter and the Korea Office, domestic training, events, projects, climate group action (Act of Leadership), operation of any other climate education programs, including preparing informational documents, organizing recruitment, event logistics, applications review, follow-up etc.
  • Assisting with participation in events organized by government agencies and the running of campaigns
  • Managing communication with external entities, and assisting active participation 
  • Assisting with managing and operating social media (SNS) and Reality Hub
  • Aggregating and drafting social media and other communications from US Headquarter, other branch offices and identifying content for the wider audience.
  • Supporting Climate Reality’s Local Climate Leader and Campus Corps Chapters;
  • Supporting the Our Climate Moment: Let’s Get to Work and Climate Reality campaigns, specifically through Climate Reality Leaders and Presenters;
  • Assisting with campaign and grassroots organizing tactics such as volunteer recruitment, coalition building, media engagement;
  • Assisting with the production of online and offline content and resources for campaigns;
  • Researching and tracking Climate Reality Campaign related news
  • Assisting the District Manager of the Korea Office with reporting 
  • Any other area of interest that the intern identifies
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills in Korean and English.
  • Creative problem solving and experience working on a team. 
  • Experience in volunteer education and outreach.
  • Cross-cultural communication experience. 
  • (Not mandatory) Prior work in nonprofit advocacy and the climate movement.


TIME COMMITMENT

This position requires a minimum of 12 hours & a maximum of 30 hours per week 

Depending on the situation, internships can also take place online.

인턴쉽 프로그램

인턴쉽 프로그램의 목표는 다양한 사람들에게 기후변화 또는 환경 운동 분야에서 실무 경험과 경력을 쌓을 수 있는 토대를 마련하고, 도움이 되는 수준 높은 실무 경험을 제공하는 것입니다. 

합격 지원자의 일정 논의가 가능하며 무급 인턴십을 제공합니다.

인턴은 주당 최소 15시간, 최대 30시간까지 근무할 수 있습니다. 

한국 사무소의 모든 인턴에게는 멘토가 배정되고, 전반적인 목표 수립, 업무 계획 등을 위해 긴밀하게 협력합니다.

  • 해당 지역 클라이밋 리얼리티 리더와 캠퍼스 챕터 지원
  • 클라이밋 리얼리티 챕터를 통해, Our Climate Moment: Let’s Get to Work and Climate Reality 캠페인 지원.
  • 기후캠페인과 일반시민의 참여 전략 수립을 보조, 예를 들어 자원활동가 모집, 협업 및 연대 구축 활동, SNS 홍보 등.
  • 온앤오프라인 콘텐츠와 캠페인 기획 제작 보조
  • 클라이밋 리얼리티 캠페인 관련 뉴스 리서치 및 업데이트
  • 한국지부장 어시스턴트 업무 및 리포팅
  • 기타 관심 분야 업무 수행 추진 가능 및 기타 할당된 업무.

인턴쉽 주당 시간
